The Scottish Castles Association is delighted to announce the next stage in the development of the Scottish Castles Association Archive, with a special fundraising dinner to be held at Dundas Castle on 18 November 2026.
The event has been made possible through the generosity of Dundas Castle and the continuing support of Association members. It will provide an opportunity to learn more about the importance of the Archive and to support its development and preservation for future generations.
Our President, Professor Richard Oram, will speak at the dinner about the significance of the Archive and the role it can play in preserving and making accessible an important body of material relating to Scotland’s castles and their history.
Attendance at the dinner will be open to both members and non-members, providing an opportunity for anyone with an interest in Scotland’s castles, architectural heritage and history to learn more about the Association and its Archive.
The Scottish Castles Association recently circulated a Members’ Briefing on the Archive, outlining its importance, the work already undertaken and the next steps in developing the collection.
