EVENT ETIQUETTE & TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Castles are fascinating places but can also be hazardous to the unwary. Please be aware that you are responsible for your own safety. Please follow instructions from owners, event organisers and signage. Our Tour Organiser will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
Do check that you are on the list of attendees for the event – you will receive an email confirming this. If you are in any doubt, please contact enquiries@scotlandscastles.org, as we will not be able to include you in the event if your name is not on the list.
Please wear sensible shoes (e.g. not stiletto heels or flip-flops, which can compromise your balance or damage floors), and avoid bringing large bags.
If you would like to bring children under the age of 14 as part of your family group, please contact the Tour Organiser to discuss.
We regret that dogs or other pets may not be taken to events unless otherwise stated or with the owner’s permission. Should permission be given, you will be responsible for your dog at all times. It must be kept on a leash, and you may be required to stay with your dog in a tour vehicle while we visit castles or other destinations.
If you need to bring an assistance dog, it is essential to discuss with the Tour Organiser how this might be accommodated – although private buildings are exempt from the Disability Act 2010, we will do our best to help.
Photography is allowed only with the explicit permission of the owner.
We rely on the contact details you give us to keep you informed of changes or cancellations. Please provide a contact number and email address that you will be checking regularly.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel more than two weeks before the event is taking place, we will refund your money fully unless otherwise stated in the booking details. If you cancel less than two weeks beforehand, for any reason, we regret that we cannot refund your ticket money.
If we cancel at any time, we will fully refund your money. Although we make every effort to avoid it, sometimes an event has to be cancelled at short notice due to circumstances beyond our control. In this case, we cannot accept responsibility for or refund any consequential losses, such as money spent on travel or accommodation.
We reserve the right to change the itinerary without notice.
