What do you do if you’re thwarted in your attempts to purchase a Scottish castle to restore? You build your own. That’s exactly what Phill and Meryl did and, after ten years, Craigietocher Tower was completed in 2018 and is a testament to their determination to recreate a 16th century Scottish tower house with as much architectural authenticity as possible.

They will be sharing their story, and their incredible home, with us at the picnic.
